November is my absolute favorite month. Is it my birthday month? Nope. Is it a month I take a lot of vacations? I wish. I can't tell you exactly what it is, but November has been my favorite month for as long as I can remember. It's the official start of all of my favorite holidays (with the exception of Halloween, of course), and it's also the month I want to eat everything in sight with all of the pies, different variations of pumpkin desserts, and Thanksigving dinner.
Here are a few of my goals for this month:
01. Delve into the world of coding. I have always admired people who are able to build a website from the ground up. It's both a confusing and fascinating world to me, but one that I most definitely want to be a part of. I heard someone say something once that really stuck with me. Why would we pay someone to do something we could learn to do ourselves? I couldn't agree more. And now that I'm blogging, I think it would be amazing to say I built my own website. Obviously, this is a very, very long term goal...but I'd like to start it this month.
02. Develop a concrete workout plan. I have become the most lazy individual lately when it comes to working out. I'm a pretty busy person, but I always remind myself that even the most successful person only gets 24 hours in a day. Priorities. I want to develop a workout plan that I can stick with and that is practical for my everyday life.
03. Document more of my life with photos. And no, I don't mean iPhoneography... I'm pretty confident in my ability to take nice photos, but I always seem to forget to bring my camera with my places. I think I could add a lot more to my Instagram and blog if I'm always carrying around my camera. I'm looking into getting the Canon EOS m10 for days when I don't feel like lugging around my DSLR, or if I want to do a vlog instead.
04. Be more present. I definitely think this is a goal I will try to implement for the rest of my life. I think technology is amazing and wonderful. I mean, clearly I am a huge advocate for it. But so often I see that it can take away from my time with the people I care about most. I hate seeing entire dinner tables at restaurants, or two people meeting for coffee, and they're all on their phones...even though I am guilty of that so often. This holiday season, I want to be present.
