Current Skincare Routine

The products mentioned in this post are bound to help you with that problem. Keep reading. ;)
Ahhhh, February... we are one month closer to spring and for that I am beyond ecstatic. It's usually around this time of year that I start really wanting to change some things about my routine, my room, and every other area of my life. Winter is almost over, and it's time for a new routine. Am I the only one who feels like this?
This month, I wanted to give you all a look into my skin. I've already shared with you all my skin story, how I want to upgrade my glow game, and I've shared with you all about my Clarisonic and how much I love spin-brush cleansing. Today I wanted to share with you all some gems I picked up at the drugstore, and how they've been working for me. Kind of like a review? Yeah, let's call it that.
The other day I was at Target because I ran out of face wash, and because -- let's be real -- Target is a very, very happy place. I've already talked about my love for Neutrogena face care and how I truly think their products are drug-store game changers. (Broke girl's guide to skincare, anyone?) As I was looking through the skincare aisle, I realized I really wanted to try something different. I've been using Neutrogena's natural line for a few years now, and love it, but I've been wanting something to target my dryness, my hyperpigmentation, and discoloration. That's when I stumbled upon this.
What caught me eye immediately was the name "Hydro Boost". I've stated before in a few of my other posts how I have pretty dry skin and look, your girl is just trying to get the JLo Glow. Then I loved the fact that it includes hyaluronic acid. If you don't already know, hyaluronic acid is extremely beneficial for your skin, helps with aging, dryness, and when I say so many other things, I mean it. Check out this article to read more about the benefits of HA.
So, lately my skincare routine has looked like this:
- Use Neutrogena's Deep Clean purifying micellar water with a cotton pad to take off my foundation and any other stuff that might have accumulated from the day. (Why does that word gross me out?)
- After that, I put some of the Hydro Boost cleanser on my Clarisonic and cleanse my face for one minute. Rinse off my face and pat dry.
- I use my GLOW serum from Valjean Labs all over my skin, and then my PONDS dry skin moisturizer.
- Sleep in heavenly peace.
In the morning, it's basically the same just minus the micellar water and the sleeping in heavenly peace. *sigh* OH! And I just use my hands to wash my face in the mornings -- no Clarisonic. My skin would be all sorts of broken out if I did.
I honestly can say that I have already noticed a difference in my skin. I no longer get those dry patches on my skin and my skin looks all around brighter. I've taken a few pictures of myself and I really think my skin looks so much better than it did just a few weeks ago! It's crazy how just little changes in your skincare routine can make such a difference.
Does your skincare routine look anything like mine? If not, what do you do? I'd love to hear in the comments below!
