I don't know about you, but there is something so captivating about someone who is completely intentional about her life. I admire that woman, maybe because I don't see much of her in who I am. I have never, nor will I ever, claim to be perfect. I am so, so far from it actually. But I do know one thing... I aspire to be as close to perfect as I possibly can be. I want to be like that intentional woman I admire so much. This year, 2018, is the year that I will actually begin the journey to that place. I'd love for you to join in with me, and it all starts with this post.

Let me ask you this....

Have you ever found yourself wishing you were more "put-together", more organized, more of a "go-getter"?

If you answered yes to any part of that question, welcome to the club. So many times I feel like I am so out of control of my life. Not in every area, no. But in little things. I've found that if my social life is flourishing, my room is probably a mess. Or if I'm working out everyday and eating well, my social life gets put on the back burner and me and my bed spend more time together. None of these things are wrong, but sometimes I just wish I could have it all, just in little balanced pieces that would eventually lead to bigger things. Look, I really do think it's possible.

I think it's possible to "have it all". I think it's possible to flourish in every area of life, without getting burnt out. That's the kind of life I want to find myself living, and the thing is: I can create that life.

You can create that life, too.

But -- it's going to require intention, and consistency, and commitment. It's going to require being brutally honest with yourself and figuring out what in your life should stay, and what needs to go. It's going to take you sitting down and planning, and prioritizing, and figuring out what you want your life to look like. It's going to require de-cluttering, throwing out things, and yes, even getting rid of some relationships that are weighing you down.

Here's the thing...

Your life is your masterpiece. You can create your life to be anything you want it to be. Yes -- YOU.

Edit your life frequently and ruthlessly. It's your masterpiece after all. - Nathan W. Morris

Within the next 8 weeks, I am going to be releasing one post a week completely dedicated to living an intentional life. These posts will be focused completely and strategically on practical ways to edit your life both frequently and ruthlessly, so that you can create your masterpiece -- which is your intentional life.

We will be in this together. These posts won't be just for you, but for me as well, and as you take this journey, I'll be right there alongside you. We'll learn together, grow together, and shape our lives together. At the risk of sounding so cheesy and cliché, I want to look at my life twenty or thirty years down the road and be able to say that I created my life, I didn't just sit around and let it happen to me; that the place I end up at is a product of ruthless pursuit and creativity. That isn't just an unattainable dream, but a real place we can get to. I want to get to that place.

So, here is my invitation to you. What's it going to be? Will you accept? Will you join me in this journey to creating an intentional life? I hope so.

Leave a comment below if you're willing to take this journey with me. What are some things you'd like to see happen in your life? Areas you'd like to see change or growth? Places you'd like to visit? Goals you'd like to achieve? Dreams you aspire to reach? I'd love to hear where you're at! Let me know.
